Gravity releases new album The Edge of Eternity on September 10, 2013
Award-winning
progressive rock band Gravity is excited to announce the release of
their third full-length album, “The Edge of Eternity"! The 12-song CD
will be available online on Tuesday, September 10th and in physical form
on Friday, September 13th during the band's CD Release Party at
Wilbert's, one of Cleveland's premiere live music venues. Doors open at 7
and there is no cost for admission.

 “The Edge of Eternity”
showcases the continued evolution of this progressive quartet, whose
first two albums have received critical acclaim internationally. This is
their first album to include keyboardist Vikram Shankar, who joined in
2012. According to guitarist Eric Potapenko, “These songs highlight a
bunch of musical directions. New influences like Periphery and Animals
as Leaders, combined with the continued influence of Dream Theater, Joe
Satriani and Symphony X, have led us to create our most diverse album
yet.”

Drummer Matt Kerschner continues, "We pushed ourselves to
the limit and explored new ideas, whether by creating incredibly
technical riffs, using complex time signatures, or adding epic and
symphonic elements.”

The album was completely self-produced and
engineered at the band's rehearsal space, 9.8 Studios, then mixed and
mastered by Jason Vanek (vocalist/guitarist of Eternal Legacy) at
Mercinary Studios. Artwork was created by bassist Brian Craft.

To accompany the album’s digital release on September 10th, Gravity will
launch their first professional music video for their new single
“Victorious.” Today, the band has posted a behind-the-scenes video
showing the album's creation, which you can view below.
